A Core of Light

There is a core of light that underlies the little darknesses of our days.
This bright flame reminds us of the potential of our lives,
and the dawning potential of humanity.
We gather in community to remember this core of light,
and to count it sacred: within each of us,
and at the center of the life we seek to build together.
