Chalice Lighting  -  Andrew Hill

This flame glows as light glows in the darkness;
This flame burns as fire burns all that is dross;
This flame dances as growing things dance upon the green earth;
This flame flickers as life flickers for a precious while in each of us;
This flame is warm as the companionship of friends is warm.
