About the Workshop:
A covenant group is a small relational group within a congregation that provides an
opportunity for members to explore intimacy and ultimacy in an environment of trust. A
covenant group is tied into the congregation and the larger community of which it is a
part. The covenant group model is a powerful way for urban churches to revitalize and
connect with their communities. In this workshop, the leaders will describe what covenant
groups are and how they work. The leaders will describe urban covenant group projects
drawing on their own experiences. The workshop will include a presentation as well as an
experiential component.
