About the Workshop:
Planned giving simplified for your church! What's all the smoke and mirrors about anyway! A fun filled action packed session complete with take home suggestions on how to 'start' a Planned Giving program at your church. You'll learn how to get the basics up and running and, really, how simply you can do Planned Giving-even when you have limited time, little help and nobody else in your shop knows what Planned Giving is! Also includes Endowment! What is it and why you'd want one! Nationwide, the average bequest is $70,000. How much are you getting now? How much money could you use?

Susan is the Managing Member of BIPSTER International, a Planned Giving consulting firm that specializes in BEQUESTS-from start up to collection and offers BIPSİ (Bequest Income Processing Software), which is the only commercially available software program that tracks and reports on all Charitable Bequests. Most recently, Susan was also the Senior Associate Director of Gift Planning for the American Red Cross National Headquarters, supporting and training 1700 chapters in their efforts in Planned Giving, raising over $65 million a year. Previously, as Associate Director of Planned Giving, she helped recruit, support and train the 15 nationwide Planned Giving representatives for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, managing a department that netted $16 million a year. Susan was also Director of Major and Planned Giving at Childreach, the US member of Planned Parenthood International, where she helped other members, such as Canada and Japan, start Planned Giving. She has 17 years experience in major and planned giving, having begun planned giving in 1983. Her background also includes almost 20 years experience working in a sophisticated financial sales capacity with high net worth individuals. She was a Trust Vice President in charge of two small trust departments as well as a Trust New Business Officer for several years. In her trust years, Susan was an active member of the RI Estate Planning Council and the Southeastern, CT Estate and Tax Planning Council, the International Association of Financial Planners and the National Association of Bank Women. She also started a Planning Giving Council in both Memphis and Rhode Island and she was the first President of the Planned Giving Council of Rhode Island. She was, in '97 and '98, Vice President for Programs of the Planned Giving Study Group of Greater Washington, DC and chaired Planned Giving Days '96.
