Greetings! The purpose of this newsletter is to provide information and updates about the Consultation on Ministry To and With Youth. This newsletter is part of an effort to make the consultation process transparent and accessible to all Unitarian Universalists.
OUR UU PRINCIPLES: DEEP REFLECTION, CREATIVE TRANSFORMATION
Be a part of another review process happening in the denomination! The UUA’s Commission on Appraisal is conducting a review of the UU principles and purposes, and YOU, your congregations, and your youth group can play a major role. What do you think about these core documents of our UU faith? What do they mean to you, and how do they inform the life of your congregation and youth group? This is your opportunity to tell the Commission just that.
The Commission has created a booklet that includes workshops for adults, youth, and children. These workshops are designed to provoke reflection and to gather input from these reflections to help the Commission in its review. Every congregation should have received a copy in the mail, but if you want to download and print a copy for yourself or your youth group, visit http://www.uua.org/coa.
DRUUMM SPRING SUMMITS TO HOST YOUTH MINISTRY CONVERSATIONS
Youth and Young Adults of Color will have two regional opportunities to learn about the Consultation and dialogue about ministry with Youth of Color. Join youth, young adults, and adult allies at one of these events sponsored by Diverse and Revolutionary Unitarian Universalist Multicultural Ministries (DRUUMM)!
West Coast Spring Summit
March 29 – April 1, 2007

East Coast Spring Summit
May 10 – 13, 2007
Camp Springs, MD
