RE Grants & Scholarships

Religious educators learn in many ways, in many environments, and from many teachers. For those individuals participating in programs for on-going intellectual and professional growth, scholarships and grants are available!

In 2000-2001, more than $10,000 was awarded to 28 religious educators for their participation in a variety of programs and learning experiences. Individual awards ranged from $88 to $500.

Additionally, 10 grants of $100 are available for congregations in need of curriculum materials or program supplies.

To Apply:
Contact the Office of Professional Development of the UUA Religious Education Department with a brief description of the educational work you are pursuing, the congregation you serve and a budget for your continuing studies.
E-mail: dhubner@uua.org
or send a letter to Rev. David Hubner, Director of the Office of Professional Development, UUA, 25 Beacon St., Boston, MA 02108.

Scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis through the year. Grant applications are considered until May 1 each year.
