Rev. Susan Davison-Archer writes: I recently heard Robert Kegan say, "Burnout is not from too much to do, but rather from going too long without a personal growth opportunity" (page 16).

Susan Suchocki-Brown envisions a religious education program that "has a commitment to anti-oppression, anti-racism, and multiculturalism and prepares learners through education, personal awareness, exercises, analysis, and organizational skill development" (page 35).

In her essay on "Teachers as Spiritual Guides," Rev. Roberta Nelson quotes Parker Palmer; "Mentors and apprentices are partners in an ancient dance-the old empower the young with their experience and the young empower the old with new life, reweaving the fabric of the human community as they touch and turn" (page 192).

Rev. Greg Stewart mentioned that at the UU Church in Pasadena (CA): "We intentionally avoid the term 'intergenerational worship.' Instead, 'community worship' accurately describes both our intentions and their results" (page 278).

And, finally, from Liz Strong: "Who am I? Why am I here? What is the purpose of my life? Can I make a difference at all? We cast our questions out into the universe, not expecting an answer, yet hoping someone will guide us. And so we gather in our communities of faith and worship to seek answers that will enable us to meet each day with hope and courage" (page 295).

All this wisdom and inspiration and much more awaits your attention!!
