NEW AND IMPROVED
ADVISOR TRAINING
Available Now!

We have just trained twelve youth and twelve adults to be our new continental advisor trainers. They are eager and ready to come to your district and lead youth advisor trainings. Request one today!

The recommended training is the fifteen hour, full weekend training. We also offer a two-part sixteen-hour training. Both of the eight-hour training segments are necessary for advisors to complete the sixteen-hour training. Our youth-adult teams will give advisors the training they need.

To have advisor trainings in your district follow these simple steps.
  1. Pick a date and fill out an Advisor Training request form online at www.uua.org/YRUU. Fill out the form at least three months in advance of your training.
  2. Wait for the Youth Office to notify you (this will happen within two weeks of the request being submitted) with the advisor trainers assigned for your training. (The Youth Office will also coordinate the travel arrangements for the team of trainers.)
  3. Send the Youth Office $650 for the travel equalization fee (this fee covers both trainers and is the same no matter what part of the continent the training is on) and publicize the training throughout your district. Recruit advisors from all the local churches to attend the training. Additional costs: There is a suggested additional fee of at least a $200 stipend for each trainer.
Please note:

Participants pay a fee to attend (determined by your budget). These fees cover the majority of the cost of the training, provided that you schedule your event far enough in advance to promote it. The longer you wait, the lower your attendance will be! This is the primary reason for the 3 month advance to hold a training.

A one day training has the same cost as the full weekend training.

This Training Covers...
  • Ministry with youth
  • Supervision and support
  • Liability issues
  • Youth empowerment
  • How to create a youth friendly congregation
  • How to worship with youth
  • How to build a strong youth group
  • And much, much more
If you have any questions please call or email the Youth Office!
