Star Island, Religious Education Conference
July 14 - 21, 2001
Designed for the professional and personal needs of both those new to and those experienced in religious education, this exciting conference takes place amidst the rugged natural beauty of Star Island, off the coast of Portsmouth,
NH. Our theme this year will be "Sharing Our Stories," led by theme speaker and master storyteller Rev. Jennifer Justice. Workshops will include the Teacher Training Renaissance Module; the Writing and Delivery of Sermons and Other Public Orations, a how-to workshop for religious educators; Theology is Biography, learning the language of theology as religious educators; Many Doorways to the Spirit: Cherishing Our Children's Diverse Abilities and Learning Differences; Creating Community with Games and Music; Creating Family Ritual; Applying the Small Group Ministry Concept to Religious Education; and Adult Sexuality using the OWL curriculum.
