Submitted by Eva Ceskava, Religious Educator, UU Fellowship of Huntington, NY Written by Roberta Bohan, Religious Education Assistant, UU Congregation of Shelter Rock, Manhasset, NY Here at the UU Fellowship of Huntington, we are very fortunate to have a wonderfully creative religious education assistant, a third grade teacher from our neighboring congregation, UU Congregation of Shelter Rock. Roberta Bohan livened up the "nuts and bolts" portion of our second semester teacher training with her catchy song, The Twelve Tips of Teaching. We offer it for your use. Alter it where you find helpful.
The Twelve Tips of Teaching
For the 1st tip of teaching Roberta said to me "Be gentle with our RE." For the 2nd tip of teaching Roberta said to me "Find your folder, and be gentle with our RE." For the 3rd tip of teaching Roberta said to me "Take that attendance, find your folder..." For the 4th tip of teaching Roberta said to me "Talk with your team, take that attendance..." For the 5th tip of teaching Roberta said to me "ALWAYS LOOK AHEAD! ..." For the 6th tip of teaching Roberta said to me "Order your supplies..." For the 7th tip of teaching Roberta said to me "Submit your vouchers..." For the 8th tip of teaching Roberta said to me "Take your juice and snacks..." For the 9th tip of teaching Roberta said to me "Safety always first..." For the 10th tip of teaching Roberta said to me "Write your feedback..." For the 11th tip of teaching Roberta said to me "Use drafting tape..." For the last tip of teaching Roberta said to me "Enjoy your class..." |
