
AN INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN
The Angus H. MacLean award is presented yearly to a person who has made outstanding contributions to religious education over the years. It is awarded by the Alumni Association of the St. Lawrence University Theological School, and the Unitarian Universalist Association. In creating the award, the Alumni Association said, “Angus H. MacLean, Dean and Teacher of Religious Education at St. Lawrence University Theological School, was one of the pioneers in Unitarian Universalist religious education. It is appropriate that we recognize the inspiration and warmth that Angus gave to us all and his great concern for the religious nurture of both children and adults.” A nominee for the award should be a UU who has achieved several of the following:
Nominations for this award can be made by anyone and must be submitted in writing by April 15, 2004. Nominations need to include biographical information about the nominee (name, address, telephone number) and specific qualities, achievements, contributions, and data that provide the Award Committee with information on the criteria listed above. MacLean, late Dean and teacher in the St. Lawrence Theological School, this award was established in 1971 by the St. Lawrence Alumni Association in his memory. It is administered by the Lifespan Faith Development Staff Group of the Unitarian Universalist Association and is awarded each year for excellence in the field of religious education.
