- Theme and Description
- Based on Kimball's youth curriculum You the Creator, this program gives adults an opportunity to unleash and appreciate their creative energies. Each session is divided into enjoyment, empowerment, and enlightenment activities. Based on the belief that everyone is creative, it emphasizes the relationship of anxiety and creativity, the idea of flow, the religious implications of creativity, and the idea of a universal creative force.

- To get in touch with and express their creative forces;
To overcome doubts and anxieties about their creativity;
To feel part of the universal creative force;
To have fun learning and growing.

- Space and large tables for art activities

- 8 sessions
Length: 2 hours - Leader Training
- No special training or background is required. Familiarity with the youth curriculum You the Creator is necessary. Co-leadership and good facilitation skills are recommended.
- Leader Preparation
- 2 to 4 hours per session to read background and gather materials
- Strengths
- Offers a very engaging, creative variety of activities.
Contains a strong religious and reflective dimension.
Culminates in worship and celebration.
Includes well-organized sessions.
Is playful and fun.
Nurtures the creative self. - Limitations
- Requires gathering many art and other materials.
- Adaptability
- Can be used to plan intergenerational events.
Can be used as the basis of camp, conference, or retreat programs. - Unitarian Universalist Values
- Explores the connection between creativity and religious experience. Affirms the worth and dignity of every person, and promotes the growth of the individual and the connection of each person to the community and the universe.
