Requesting Space on the UUA Web Server
The UUA's Electronic Communication Committee has drafted the following
procedure for requesting space for hosting UU-related pages on the
uua.org World Wide Web server.
This server will provide information about the UUA, Unitarian-Universalism,
UU-related news and events, UUA districts, affliliates and nationwide
or international UU-related groups. Complete the form below to
apply for space on the UUA.ORG server for districts or UU affiliate
organizations.
We are unable to house individual church home pages. However
we do offer some help and resources. Click

Each group or proposing a suite of Web pages (and related text
files, graphics files, sound files, and video files) must submit
a proposal to the UUA, including the name of the sponsoring organization,
its affiliation to the UUA, the purpose of providing the information,
the approximate number of pages, the approximate amount of storage
that the information will occupy on the uua.org server, and the
mechanism by which the information provided will be kept current.
Proposals for Web pages shall be approved by the UUA Director of
Electronic Communication or by someone she designates.

Notes:
* In this application, a "suite" of Web pages means a group of
Web pages that are linked together, including the text files, graphics
files, sound files, and other files that are to be distributed via
the Web.
* DO NOT advertise the Web pages in any form until the UUA has
confirmed that the suite is set up and running, and you have confirmed
that the URL is correct and all of the links work.
* Web pages must be updated from time to time, to ensure that the
information is correct, to respond to technical changes on the uua.org
server, and to fix links to other pages that have moved. Each suite
therefore must have a "maintainer" or "webmaster" who is responsible
for maintaining the Web pages and related files in the suite. If
there is no functioning maintainer for the suite, the suite may
be cancelled at any time.
* The UUA Director of Electronic Communication will also have the
right to cancel pages that no longer relate to UUism or that have
not been accessed in one year. Views expressed in the pages of the
sponsoring organization need not represent the views of the UUA
or UUs in general. The UUA, however, reserves the right to remove
any material stored on its web server that contains or links to
material that, in its sole opinion, promotes or supports actions
that violate UU principles.
* The proposer or sponsoring organization for a suite of pages
is responsible for either ensuring that the material is in the public
domain or getting written permission from the copyright-holder to
provide the material on the Web pages. Please note that even though
you may have acquired the right to print something, that does *not*
automatically give you the right to publish it electronically!
(In the following application, boxes show where information must
be entered, but you don't limit the length of your response to the
length of the boxes; just keep typing if you need to, we'll receive
it all!)
