Online Services

The Office of Electronic Communication maintains the UUA’s web site, which includes hundreds of indexed pages about programs and services at the Association, district, and local levels. In addition they offer many resources to help and enhance congregations and UU-related web sites and online communications.

• Domain Name Service for Congregations & Affiliated/Related Organizations.
• Email Aliases: Because of the workload involved in maintenance of email aliases (e.g. abc@uua.org), creation of email aliases will be limited. Email aliases may be granted by the Director of Electronic Communication for districts, publications, departments, associate and affiliate organizations of the UUA, and groups recognized by the UUA Board of Trustees. Member congregations, except the Church of the Larger Fellowship, are not eligible. To apply for an Email Alias, write to the UUA Office of Electronic Communications at oec@uua.org .

The UUA has no official recommendations for web hosting services or design assistance. But here are some options to consider:

• UUISM.Net is highly recommended by fellow Unitarian Universalist webmasters. They offer low-cost web site hosting, email lists etc specifically for Unitarian Universalits.
• Domain Service by www.mydomain.com: You can cloak your site so that all pages have the same label on the browser and do not show the true url. This allows you to change internet providers without users having to learn a new address.
