In a world of conventional religions, there is one that is not.
There is one that believes religion should be more than a narrow statement of faith - that it should have room for deep questions that might have more than one answer; and that the mystery of creation can be acknowledged without having to be named. Through the ages, there have always been people who have taken a progressive view of religion with the belief that people can be sensitive to the sacred—and intellectually truthful at the same time. Unitarian Universalist congregations in the greater Houston area invite those who share that vision to visit one of our eight congregations. Our slogan is “The Uncommon Denomination”. Here are some ways that our faith is uncommon:
