Dear Joel and the entire congregation of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Buffalo,

Congratulations on your Community Service Award from the Empire State Pride Agenda! I am delighted to hear of your recognition of your good work there. Having visited the congregation, I am quite thrilled to see that others have come to know what I learned on my visit some years ago: the Unitarian Universalist Church of Buffalo makes a difference in the wider community, has terrific people serving and worshipping there and is a source of hope and justice-making.

Please give my thanks to all involved and take time to celebrate this recognition. I wish I could be there on April 2nd to celebrate with you. We are adding this recognition to our coverage of Freedom to Marry work in New York Sate on the UUA's web pages on Equal Marriage.
