Maryland Court Rules in Favor of Marriage Equality

Our thanks and congratulations go out today as we celebrate the victory for equal marriage and human rights that came out of the Baltimore Circuit Court.  We applaud the work of Unitarian Universalists for Social Justice Work in Maryland along with their work with Marriage Equality Maryland.  Your efforts here speak loudly to the passion of our Unitarian Universalist faith for justice, compassion, and equity for all people.

We look forward to the continued work you will do and are ready to assist you as needed as you move forward in the days and months ahead.   In many ways, the work is just beginning.  Your leadership here is an important part of this process, and we are very grateful for all your past and continued efforts.

We know eventually we will come to a time when there will be equal marriage across the United States and that the work of Unitarian Universalists on this work, like the Unitarian Universalists in Maryland , will have made a significant difference in this.

Again, on behalf of the UUA, we give thanks for your work as we celebrate this important ruling, this next step in the journey!

Sincerely,

Rev. Keith Kron
