Monthly Mailing to Congregations
September 2003
Dear friends:
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide electronic resources
that are inexpensive, environmentally friendly, and infinitely
renewable, we are happy to announce that the monthly congregational
mailing is now available in an online edition. It is our hope
that this electronic collection will supplement the paper packet
that we send to congregations and make it easier for anyone to
download, email and print the enclosed materials whenever needed.
Please feel free to circulate these materials widely. Any questions
that you may have regarding the documents on this site should
be directed to the UUA department or affiliate that produced the
materials.
The new UUA Office of Lay Leadership Development recently launched
Interconnections
Resources, a custom-designed website for lay leaders.
In development over the better part of the past year, this site
is an interactive hub, bringing together training opportunities
and resources from congregational workshops, district meetings,
retreat center programs, and major continental conferences.
We invite all current and future lay leaders to explore the site
by searching the events calendar, reading through the FAQs in
key leadership areas (finance, social justice, etc.), and browsing
the index of related Interconnections
articles. There is even a function that allows users to submit
an event for inclusion in the calendar. This site is very user-friendly
and is quickly becoming the principal resource for UU volunteers
interested in learning how to serve their faith community while
developing their own unique gifts. Please help us share the news
about Interconnections
Resources with your congregation by mentioning the
website in your newsletters and other communications.
Sincerely,
Janet Hayes
