Welcome to the Unitarian Universalist Association!
| |
On this page you can find information about our
faith tradition, our history
and our religious
practice. You'll also find quick links to Unitarian Universalist
congregations in the greater Houston area. We hope that you will
take the time to visit one of our congregations and that you'll
find an affirming religious home within our faith community! |

The Houston/Galveston
area has many Unitarian Universalist congregations ,
each with a unique character and style of worship. We hope that you will visit
the web sites of these congregations, and then visit the congregations and
the folks who make up their worshipping communities to find out more. They
are ready to welcome you!
Please visit these Unitarian Universalist congregations in the greater
Houston area:
All of the congregations in this area are part of a UUA District called the
Southwest Unitarian Universalist
Conference ,
where you can find helpful information about programs, services, and other
congregations in Texas. Visit the Southwest Conference for more information
on congregations in this part of the United States.
There are many ways to learn more about our faith tradition and its historic
roots. Unitarianism began centuries ago in Transylvania and western Europe,
and Universalism became popular in America in the eighteenth century. To find
out more about our religious practices, we invite you to read
some of our pamphlets, and see in particular our introductory
pamphlets.
To find out more about what's on the UUA web site, you might want
to take our web tour. If you are interested,
please consider joining one of over 250
online communities. The email
list called "newcomers" is especially for newcomers to Unitarian Universalism.
Our list of Frequently
Asked Questions may be helpful. And our Public Information
Assistant, Erika Nonken, is always ready
to address your questions. The Newcomers
Bulletin Board also has questions and answers covering a wide
range of interests from newcomers to UUism.
Once again, welcome to the Unitarian Universalist Association!

Universalism, including use of materials, please contact the UUA's national
