Excerpts from statement from Paula Greenspan, President,
UU Fellowship of Poughkeepsie, NY
 |
| Rev. Kay Greenleaf |
(March 6, 2004) "As the President of the Unitarian
Universalist Fellowship of Poughkeepsie, I would like to let you
know that our minister, Rev. Kay Greenleaf, has taken a public stand
on same-sex marriages by both officiating at marriages and at participating
in her own marriage in New Paltz, NY on Saturday, March 6, 2004.
She was joined in performing the marriages by the Rev. Dawn Sangrey,
minister at the Fourth Unitarian Society of Westchester in Mohegan
Lake, NY.
"I would like to express my personal pride and gratitude to
Reverend Kay for taking a public stand on this important issue.
I believe strongly in the inherent worth and dignity of all people,
and believe that all people have an equal right to marriage's legal
benefits."
