The members and leaders of the Unitarian Church in Hungary protest against war and against all forms of dictatorship and terrorism, because all of these threaten humanity's future.
The history of our church has been a constant struggle for survival. Our predecessors learned, and passed on to us a conviction that only times of peace can bring to peoples and nations the quietude needed for
shaping a happy future for mankind, through a prayerful life pleasing to God. In this world, blessed by God, there is, there must be room for
every creature, without regard to gender, race, religion, philosophy or diversity.
The teachings of our Church are the teachings of the Bible.
According to God's promise, the future belongs, can belong only to the "man of peace", who strives with all his strength to ensure that all disagreements and conflicts are resolved in love, so that the item of
highest value, human life, will not be endangered for even a moment, and so that that, which the nations and the ages have gathered will not be threatened with destruction.
We ask God for limitless peace, but also ask all leaders and political policy makers on Earth that they order the things of this world with patience in their hearts and with the love of Jesus, in order that the Earth might remain our peaceful abode and that all who dwell in it might enjoy peace and brotherly love.
