I can't stop thinking about the millions of people who's lives are so strongly impacted by the actions the Bush Administration has taken in Iraq.

Members and family of the military on all sides of the conflict. While I fear for their well-being, I can not support the action they now take. They should all be living their lives without this conflict.

In even greater peril are the millions of civilians in harm's way. I refer, initially, to the Iraqi's, particularly to those without the means to flee the danger. How many of them believe they need to be liberated? And, is this the best way to do it?

Now that the violence has kicked off, where will it appear next? Iraq has already lobbed its scuds toward Kuwait. Surely, Al Qaeda and other terrorists will seize the occasion to attack others wherever they see an opportunity.

CNN has said that Saddam may have considered leaving Iraq is granted immunity from prosecution for war crimes. While initially, I thought amnesty was ridiculous, I began looking at it as comparison between saving all those lives (and the expense)and giving Saddam amnesty. In this view, amnesty seems like a bargain.
