Theme 3: Multiculturalism: The Spirit of a Modern Shinto
Japanese Reverend Miyake will share the history and teachings of his Konko-kyo faith, and will lead us in worship ritual. Persecuted throughout the 19th century, the Konko-kyo won independence in 1900. The Konko-kyo reveres “Tenchi Kane No Kami,” or Principle Parent of the Universe which lives in all beings.
