
UUA Stewardship Conference

| From the Myth of Scarcity to the Reality of Abundance |
Lay leaders of UU congregations gathered prior to the start of the 1999 General Assembly for a conference on stewardship: "From the Myth of Scarcity to the Reality of Abundance." The program took place at the Salt Palace in downtown Salt Lake City. The Rev. Steve Gray, who keynoted the ministry days presentation prior to General Assembly, offered thetheme presentation. Three stories of congregational transformation around issues of stewardship were also presented, by members of the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbus, OH, First Unitarian Universalist Church in San Jose, CA, and First Unitarian Universalist Church of Davenport, IA.
In the afternoon, workshops gave participants an opportunity to learn and share on a variety of subjects related to stewardship, including:

- Reflections on the theology of money
