Following the business portion of our Annual Meeting, the Partner Church Council convenes a group dialogue to anticipate its future role and program. Panel members Barbara Beach, Richard Beal, John Gibbons, and Leon Hopper begin the dialogue with personal reflections assessing challenges and opportunities.

Central to the creation of Harvard Divinity School and the American Unitarian Association, their family biography illustrates the transformation of Unitarianism from a "Boston notion" and "family affair" to "Our Liberal Movement in Theology".

The 1998 GA initiated two years of study and action on "Economic Injustice, Poverty, and Racism." Those who engaged in study and action on the issue are invited to share experiences. Based on the discussion, CSW will draft a Statement of Conscience for consideration during the coming year.

To protect their lands and collective human rights as nations Indigenous representatives world-wide have helped draft a UN Declaration on Indigenous peoples' rights. The Declaration, they agree, is a minimum standard needed to protect these rights. The US, Canada and other states now seek to gut the document!

Worship honoring Duchess Quamino, William Ellery Channing's slave nanny who inspired his spirituality. Revealing our slave heritage generates joy and sorrows. Woodson, an ethnomusicologist in African music, has initiated a family ceremony apologizing for ancestral participation in slavery. Carpenter is a UU minister researching the Channing family's participation in slavery.
