Rev. Ken Brown's remarks introducing Dave Jones

Dave Jones is a businessman, legislator, community leader and candidate for Salt Lake City Mayor.

In his business career, Dave has served as director of marketing for one of the Bennett Corporations and as president of the Wallace Associates Design Group. He serves today as vice president of FRCI, a consulting firm which specializes in assisting non-profit agencies with management and resource development issues.

A five-term member of the Utah House of Representatives, Dave currently serves as the Minority Leader of the House, and is a member of the Executive Appropriations Committee, the Community and Economic Development Appropriations Subcommittee, the Legislative Management Committee, and the Public Utilities Standing Committee.

Dave has served on numerous boards and commissions, including the Salt Lake County Commission on Youth and the Utah Constitutional Revision Commission. He is the immediate past president of the Homeless Children's Foundation and a current member of the Olene Walker Housing Trust Fund Board. He holds a masters degree in public administration from the University of Utah.

Dave and his wife Cindy have lived in the East Central section of Salt Lake City for twenty-two years, where they have been active in neighborhood affairs. They have three children and four grandchildren.
