Rev. Marilyn J. Sewell

The Reverend Ken Sawyer and the Reverend Marilyn J. Sewell described the new homiletics in our movement today to an overflow crowd of almost 200 Unitarian Universalists on Friday June 25th. The Reverend Khoren Arisian moderated this presentation, which was sponsored by the Friends of Religious Humanism.

Rev. Sewell's presentation, "The Emergence of the Feminine: Implications for Worship," discussed the emergence of Jungian feminine aspects in preaching.

Rev. Sawyer's presentation, "A Humanist's Observations on Trends in Unitarian Universalist Preaching," explored the importance of awareness and inclusiveness of diverse theological perspectives together with clarity about the preacher's own perspective.
