Program Coverage for Friday, June 25th

On Friday, GA got down to work with its first Plenary session, presided over by Moderator Gini Courter. After the plenary, dozens of workshops were presented, this year organized into "themes" to help attendees find workshops of interest.

The Service of the Living Tradition is the service at which UUs celebrate the work of our professional ministers, including recognition of their passages into and out of active ministry. This year, for the first time, this service was held on Friday night, and included a call to worship by the Rev. David Hubner, lighting of the Sabbath candles by the Rev. David Pettee, the Litany of Rememberbrance and Recognition by the Rev. Beth Williams, and a sermon by the Rev. Rosemary Bray McNatt.
