2108 Service of the Living Tradition
Benediction
By Rev. David Hubner, UUA Director of Ministry
Go now with joy.
Go knowing that although the challenges we face as individuals
and as a beloved religious community are great, we are not single,
isolated and solitary in our work.
The dreams and hopes we hold closest to our hearts, are common
to others, here in this room and here in this world.
The pains, the frustrations, and fears we bear, are not ours alone
to carry.
The religious hope we share is in truth larger than us, something
as universal as the dust and the rain.
May we leave here reminded again that even though there is so much
to do, and that the burden may seem great and the goal distant,
we are always companioned in our efforts by those we know and love,
by those we have known and loved, by those we have yet to meet,
and by a world that holds us in its care.
Go now with dedication.
Go now with hope.
Go now in peace.
