- Our Wonderful Bodies, Part One -Session I builds on children's knowledge about the parts of their body.
- Our Wonderful Bodies, Part Two-Session 2 extends the discussion, names the female and male genital parts, looks at gender constancy, and explores gender roles.
- Healthy Bodies, Safe Bodies-Session 3 helps children learn ways to keep their bodies healthy and safe and includes sexual abuse prevention strategies.
- Families-Session 4 invites children to learn about many different family groupings and arrive at a definition of family.
- Families and Feelings-Session 5 looks at family feelings and the mixed emotions that children feel when their families change.
- Babies and Families-Session 6 explores how families nurture babies emotionally and physically and how babies enter families through birth or adoption.
- Birth of a Baby-Session 7 presents alternative stories of conception: version one explains that the sperm and egg join together to start a new life; version two extends the explanation to include sexual intercourse. Both stories present conception and birth in the context of starting a new life and expressing human love.
- Celebrations-This final session affirms the many ways that families celebrate joyous occasions throughout their lives.
OUR WHOLE LIVES FOR GRADES 4-6
- Sexuality and Values -Session I helps participants clarify, support, and communicate their values about sexuality.
- Family Relationships-Session 2 helps participants explore the concepts of family and intimacy in relation to friends and family.
- Puberty: Physical and Emotional Changes -Session 3 helps participants understand the physical and emotional changes of puberty.
- Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation-Session 4 expands participants' understanding of gender identity and sexual orientation and promotes advocacy skills to combat social injustice.
- Lovemaking and Reproduction-Session 5 expands participants' understanding of lovemaking, reproduction, and how families change when new siblings arrive.
- Health and Safety-Session 6 provides participants with accurate and age-appropriate information about sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and skills for protecting themselves from sexual abuse.
- Communication-Session 7 helps participants become more comfortable using accurate sexual terminology and develop effective communication skills.
- Decision Making-Session 8 raises participants' awareness of the messages they receive from family, peers, faith communities, and the media about sexuality and how these messages influence their decisions.
