More than 200 people crowded the dance floor at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel for a reception following the General Assembly Opening Celebration and Plenary Session on Thursday night, June 22. Many more took the opportunity for socializing and catching up with old friends. Music was provided by DJ's Santos Gonzales and Hector Ruiz from the Salsa Dance Club in Nashville.
"It's wonderful! The DJ's are doing a great job. They're playing wonderful music and it's keeping us all going," exclaimed GA first-timer Robin Becker when asked about the dance. Late in the evening, participants were seen snaking around the room doing a modified Merengue/Mambo combination – a rousing way to start off this General Assembly.
