Responsible Investing Restrictions on UUA Securities Holdings

The following list of prohibited investments has been compiled
consistent with UUA practice whereby investment managers are notified
of publicly held companies we specifically choose not to invest
in. This practice maintains broad exclusionary investment screens
that are designed to prohibit holding securities of companies
engaged in the manufacture and distribution of tobacco based products,
or in the production of weapons of war (listed below are publicly
traded US Companies that ranked among the top 100 weapons producers
awarded 1999 Department of Defense contracts). The list also considers
firms that blatantly despoil the environment, or engage in flagrant
discrimination in their hiring, promotion and employment practices.
Firms on the restricted list should not be purchased or held,
and if presently held should be divested.
