We can realize the potential of our large congregations by moving through and beyond some of the limitations of our congregations' particular cultures, structures and processes. During the theme presentation and workshops of this conference, we will examine the deeper sources of this transformation, discern some of the particular challenges for growth and depth in your congregation's sense of ministry and mission in the community, and discover bold directions of faith and action.

Large Chuch Conference Attendees
Attendees at the Large Church Conference enjoy the dinner buffet.
This conference provides an inspiring context for learning from the accomplishments and experiences of the large congregations within our religious movement. It is also an opportunity for exploring particular and peculiar challenges.

In addition to our theme presentation by The Rev. Dr. Gilbert Rendle, the conference includes workshops presented by members and religious professionals from large congregations and from our UUA staff.

A special feature of this conference is the opportunity to learn from the extraordinary story of The First Unitarian Church of Portland and celebrate their particular gift to their community. Plan now to send a congregational team to this conference.
