About our congregation
Our Fellowship meets in a former private home in a city of 33,000
people.
Our part-time minister conducts one service a month; the others are led
by
Program Coordinators from within the fellowship, with messages presented
by
either invited guest speakers or people from within. Topics vary widely
in
content, but are intended to raise questions and provoke constructive
discussion about significant issues. A fifteen minute
coffee/conversation
period precedes each Sunday Service. Our RE program, which runs parallel
to
the regular service, is small but growing. There are several pot lucks
and
periodic discussion sessions on religious education or topical issues.
We
meet throughout the year, but our summer services are informal.
Mission Statement
Our mission is: to encourage spiritual growth within a fellowship of
caring and diverse individuals and to provide a presence in our
community that promotes tolerance and respect.
We embrace the Principles and Purposes
of the Unitarian Universalist Association as the foundation of our
involvement.
